Remembering artist Joe Orlando on his birthday (April 4, 1927 - December 23, 1998).  Though known more for his editing and work on horror comics, Joe worked on humor comics as well, handling the first 13 issues of Swing With Scooter...the adventures of an English singer who came to America to escape his fame, but wasn't that successful.

Scooter had a group of followers, including redhead Cynthia, brunette Penny, blond Cookie, friendly Sylvester, angry Malibu and hipster Kenny who served to lead him into all sorts of scrapes (at least until issue #14, where the mag turned into more of an Archie Comics clone).

Remembering Italian-American artist Joe Orlando on his birthday (April 4, 1927 - December 23, 1998).

Usually known for his horror art and editing, as well as dabbling in humor comics, he occasionally did super heroes, such as the covers and insides for Metamorpho #5 and #6 (March-April and May-June 1966).

Some tales from Sinister House of Secret Love and Doorway to Nightmare (companion titles to this one) were even reprinted in DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #20 (April, 1982), with a cover by Joe Orlando, using the Dark Mansions title, and issue #7 of Forbidden Tales of the Dark Mansion introduced Charity as a host, who ended up in James Robinson's Starman book.
